Company History

1989

Hartlauer Präzisions Elektronik GmbH was founded. Devices and first small series were produced for universities and research institutions.

1990 - 1992

A sales cooperation with Kaiser Systems and Dielectric Sciences regarding high-voltage components was formed. The first 1000 J / s capacitor charger with 30kV output voltage was developed.

1993 - 1998

Introducing modular power supplies with PFC for suppression of mains harmonics, energy blocks for medical lithotripter and pain therapy equipment, capacitor charger series for excimerlaser applications (ophthalmology).

2000 - 2001

Laboratory power supplies were founded as a new product field (e.g. DC-HV laboratory equipment with 4kW). Starting to use precise laboratory supplies, which are highly insulated for Travel Wave Tubes (TWT).

2002

KSI acquires shares of Hartlauer Präzisions Elektronik GmbH.

2003 - 2006

Electrophoresis power supplies, IPL lamp supplies, Compact HV power supply for nitrogen laser were produced.

2006 - 2009

Development of 8kW HV laboratory supplies isolated to 50kV, laboratory power supply with new interface, power supply for long pulse lasers and power supply for plasma generation.

2009

Introducing management buy-out by today's managers Peter Seckl, Edmund Hartlauer and Jürgen Hartlauer. Medical energy block for Lithotrypter including Pulskabel was developed.

2010

New 32kV capacitor charger 1.6kJ / s for industrial and medical excimer laser.

2011 - 2015

Medical Capacitor Charger with universal Input and interleaved PFC. Power Supply for pulsed excimer lamps. Pulses 6kV at 55kHz 300W. Unit for Ion getter pumps in vacuum application.

2016 - 2017

Special pulsed power supply to drive Piezos, 17kW capacitor charger with an accuracy of 0.1%. DC-DC converter, insulated up to 40kV, with 20W output power were developed to transfer power to drive floating applications.

2018

Company moved into the new building in Übersee am Chiemsee,  directly at Highway A8, 75min. by car to the east of Munich airport, or 30min. to the west of Salzburg Austria. Development of highly accurate and highly isolated DC high voltage sources 4.8kW for travel wave tubes, with high-level control. Investment in automated vacuum potting machine.

2019

Compact SiC Mosfet Inverter with 1.7kJ/s. Further development of power supply for electrostatic air filter with 2 individual outputs, introducing planar transformer.

2020

Further development of TWT Test Units. Investment in climate chamber. Stacked floating system for medical lab application – ultra accurate and temperature compensated output.

2021

First high voltage cap charger 30kV 1.6kJ/s used in 125°C ambient Temperature.

2022

Pockelscell Driver.

2024

Xenon Lamp Driver
